This product is made from unbleached paper.  No chlorine is used for bleaching; therefore, no chlorine is dumped into our lakes and streams.  The unbleached paper is treated with a natural wax specially made from soybeans for food production.

This product is coated with a wax made from soybeans instead of paraffin.  Soybean wax is clean, safe, non-toxic and biodegradable.  It comes from a renewable and sustainable resource grown by American farmers.  Paraffin wax used in other waxed paper products is made from non-renewable petroleum resources.  Using this product will help reduce the use of petroleum products and the amount of pollution in our environment.  For the farmers, this is a new way to make economical use of the soybean surplus.
