GreenLine Paper provides Natureworks plastic products and other biodegradable plastic compostable containers, compostable dinnerware, and compostable food storage containers that are derived from renewable resources. Made from biopolymers, like polylactic acid, Natureworks plastic can be transformed into anything from clothing fibers, packaging materials, food containers, and a variety of other products. Natureworks compostable containers are one such example of a plastic that’s derived from 100% renewable, yellow corn resources and can contribute to reduced greenhouse gas emissions. Unlike petroleum based, conventional plastics, bio-plastic compostable containers and compostable food storage products do not contribute to the toxicity of landfills or incinerator stack emissions. Equally important, if bio-based recycled dinnerware plastics are littered, they don’t degrade into toxic particles that then pollute nearby bodies of water, wildlife, soil, and other sensitive environments. Compostable containers have the same look and feel as plastic but are actually made from processed yellow corn. The compostable dinnerware and compostable food storage containers we offer are fully biodegradable. GreenLine’s selection of compostable container products are manufactured from lactic acid. Lactic acid is made from dextrose by fermentation and dextrose is made from cornstarch. Additionally, there are no detectable genetic materials found in the compostable containers we offer. Natureworks compostable containers decompose naturally within about 47 days.
